eBay Inc. collaborates with World of Good, Inc. to bring you WorldofGood.com by eBay. To help operate and improve the website and its services, World of Good, Inc. has access to some eBay user information, such as name, eBay user ID, email addresses, and mailing addresses, as well as publicly available information such as listings, pricing, and quantity data for individual sellers. World of Good, Inc. uses this data only to provide services on eBay Inc.'s behalf and subject to the eBay Privacy Policy. World of Good, Inc. does not have access to sales data for individual sellers or buyers.

Selling and listing policies

General requirements
There are three basic requirements to sell on WorldofGood.com:

  1. Seller requirement: The seller must have at least one Trust Provider affiliation.
  2. Listing requirement: Each product listed for sale must meet either the WorldofGood.com People Positive or Eco Positive definition, or both. (Please visit our Glossary page for the complete definition of these terms.)
  3. Fulfillment requirement: The seller must be able to ship the item to the buyer.


Important: WorldofGood.com by eBay is a marketplace. As such, we don’t stock products and we don’t ship products to buyers. (If you’re qualified to sell on WorldofGood.com but you don’t have these capabilities, a Marketplace Access Program (MAP) Agent might be able to help.)

Although there are specific requirements to participate in WorldofGood.com, all eBay policies apply.

Seller requirements
Every WorldofGood.com seller must have a verified relationship with a Trust Provider. Sellers indicate this relationship in the Trustology section of their listings. Sellers must:

  • Truthfully and accurately represent their Trust Provider affiliation(s)
  • Be in good standing with their Trust Providers
  • List only items related to the Trust Provider affiliation

Examples of inaccurate representation of Trust Provider affiliation

  • Use of a Trust Provider’s name or logo in the title, description, or Trustology of the listing without affiliation
  • Use of a Trust Provider affiliation to list unrelated items
    - For example, use of the TransFair “Fair Trade Certified” logo (which only applies to commodities such as coffee and chocolate) on a listing for a handmade basket

Listing requirements
In addition to meeting all of eBay’s listing policies, every item listed on WorldofGood.com by eBay must meet all of the following requirements:

Sellers assume full responsibility for their listings and transactions on WorldofGood.com by eBay. Trust Providers are not responsible for any statement or representation made by sellers in individual listings or transactions.

Violations of these policies might result in a range of actions, including:

  • Listing cancellation
  • Limits on account privileges
  • Account suspension
  • Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
  • Loss of eBay PowerSeller status
  • Removal of WorldofGood.com item-specific privileges
  • Removal of WorldofGood.com seller privileges

Examples of goods and listings not permitted on WorldofGood.com
  • Goods made with materials or techniques that don’t meet either the People Positive or the Eco Positive definition
  • Goods that meet the People Positive or Eco Positive definition, but the seller isn’t affiliated with a Trust Provider
  • Goods that meet eco-neutral claims such as “PVC-free,” “carbon offset,” or “recycled content” but don’t meet the People Positive or the Eco Positive definition
  • Goods whose sale will benefit a charitable purpose or cause, but that don’t meet either the People Positive or Eco Positive definition
  • Listings that describe a charitable purpose or cause, but that don’t follow eBay guidelines for charitable solicitation
  • Items listed for US$4,000.00 or more

The WorldofGood.com by eBay Community brings together trusted Media Providers, experienced sellers, and avid shoppers from around the world for a global conversation on how the choices we make with our spending impacts the people who make the products and the planet as a whole.

Only eBay members, or representatives of Trust Providers or Media Providers, may post content on WorldofGood.com by eBay. Members posting on WorldofGood.com must adhere to the eBay Community Content policy, created to maintain a safe space for everyone to express their opinions and exchange ideas. By following these principles, everyone can continue to find WorldofGood.com a helpful, educational, and enjoyable place to meet and converse.
When publishing content, especially individual commentary or opinion, it is important for members of the Community to respect each other as human beings and follow societal norms. WorldofGood.com strongly encourages members who are writing and publishing content to familiarize themselves with how eBay helps protect intellectual property.   • Promoting or advertising to buy, sell, or trade any product or service listed or located outside of any eBay property (for example, eBay.com, WorldofGood.com, Half.com, eBay Stores, StubHub, or other eBay sites). Sellers may only promote their eBay Store or Seller’s Other Items list, not individual listings.
  • Using keywords, random links, inaccurate titles, text, or other content not directly relevant to the subject of the Community content for the purpose of gaining attention or diverting members to that content. For more information on misuse of keywords, see the eBay policy on Keyword Spamming.
  • Name calling or otherwise attacking the person posting rather than the content of the post.
