Fair Trade at Work: Much of the world's coffee is grown by small farmers, purchased at negligible prices by middlemen, and then brought and sold on a commodities market thousands of miles away. Equal Exchange provides an alternative by working directly with small farmer cooperatives, helping to build pride, independence and community empowerment. With the added income and stability provided by this relationship, farmers can make improvements in their own lives. Post-Roast blending: Two or more green coffees are roasted individually and blended after they have been roasted. The color difference between the roasts is distinct, and this method creates an exceptional flavor profile.

- One tree will be planted through our partner, Trees for the Future, for every online order placed.
- All packaging materials are reused and/or recycled.

- Our farm and store energy is purchased as 100% green energy shares through a new green initiative with our power company, Consumers Energy.
- 2% of our annual profits are donated to Heifer International and Second Harvest Gleaners of West Michigan.
- Our farm is now Certified Naturally Grown, growing only heirloom or open-pollinated, organically grown fruits and vegetables.

EXCHANGES AND RETURNS
Our customers' satisfaction is our number one priority, and so we are happy to offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item(s) for a full refund of the original purchase price within 14 days, issued as a merchandise credit in our store. (Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.)
Simply contact Customer Service to let us know what you will be returning, and we will provide you with our Return Department address. Then package your item and ship via the carrier of your choice. Once your return has arrived, we will credit you the original purchase price of the item, as a merchandise credit, to use in our store at your convenience. We also offer refunds on returned items that are still in unopened, unused, undamaged condition. Please follow the same steps listed above should you need to return an item. Refunds are only offered within 30 days of the original purchase.
PACKAGING
We reuse all of the packaging materials that our products arrive in from our distributors. We also use USPS Priority Mail shipping boxes, which are certified Cradle-to-Cradle- a certification that guarantees their sustainability and minimal environmental impact. We hope that you, too, will find a use for any shipping materials that are still in usable condition.
