Producer Story

Everything we sell we design and import personally from our dearest friends in Nepal. Everything is made by a small family cooperative, utilizing traditional techniques with modern styles and designs. Each item is carefully crafted from their home workshop and supports their extended family and local community members. They work carefully to minimize their ecological impact as well, choosing sustainable products when possible and we are now working to provide an alternative energy source.

Made from water buffalo bone with tea stained accents for an antiqued look~ buffalo (Yak) is a main food source in Nepal, these are all made from what would be thrown away here, and made by the poorest of the poor in Nepal~~Measures roughly 1 1/4" across, but each is slightly different, so they do vary a bit ~Picture is an Example~

The greatest thing about buying water buffalo bone jewelry? Because the supplies are readily available and free and the equipment used to make the jewelry is extremely inexpensive, these are made by the poorest of the poor in Nepal, giving them an income they would normally never be able to make!
