The items in this basket were made by various producers in Peru; each receive a fair wage for their craft. "Huayanay" named their artisan group after the community in which they live. It is a small settlement of houses perched at over 14,500 feet, a four-hour walk outside of Huancavelica city. The artisans create these beautiful, soft baby blankets and shawls with the looms in their homes. The community is revitalizing through fair trade.
