Manos Amigas ("Hands Joined in Friendship") is a fair trade organization dedicated to handicrafts export and to alternative tourism. Manos Amigas works with family workshops, small business groups and associations that make a variety of handicrafts in impoverished areas of Lima and the Andean highlands. It offers training for artisans and participates in international trade fairs to gain new markets. Manos Amigas donates a portion of annual surplus to a community outreach program for children.
