Producer Story

Assisi Garments is a non-profit rehabilitation program in Tamil Nadu India. The company is run by Fransican Sisters and employs 120 young women who are handicapped and/or economically disadvantaged. Assisi provides these women with valuable job opportunities and trainings, as well as food, accommodation, medical assistance and a loving and supportive environment. They are members of the World Fair Trade Organization (formerly IFAT) and are frequently audited by FLO.

This "Free Range" t-shirt is 100% Fair Trade and organic, made using biodynamic agriculture, the highest standard of sustainability. The cotton is the best hand-picked Egyptian cotton and dyed using an eco-friendly process that makes the shirt incredibly soft, comfortable, and gentle on your child's skin. This size is for 2-3 year olds. Also available in sizes 1-2 year, 3-4 year, and 4-5 year.
