Producer Story

Eighteen-year-old Sameena Nyaz works at a village stitching center near Sialkot, where Fair Trade buyers like FTS pay fair wages, enabling her and two older siblings to provide their family with all the basic necessities. Recently Sameena had to have a thyroid operation - the bandage on her neck was still there at the time of this photo. All costs were paid by the health care program, a first for sports ball stitchers, made possible by the Fair Trade premiums. Hooray for Fair Trade!
