Jessica Palacio began her artisan career 7 years ago after teaming up with iron worker Carlos Guerrero in their Limanche workshop near Valparaiso called, "Oh what a moon." Employing ten other Chilean artisans, they work hard to create a positive, open, ejoyable work space. The cut glass is painted with special pigments in Palacio's designs and fired in a kiln by Carlos, creating all the earrings, necklaces, hair pieces, keyrings, and mobiles you see here!
Solid and smooth as ice, these glass keychains were fired for six hours at a temperature of 850 degrees Celsius by their creator, Jessica Palacio of Chile. She has her own workshop in Limache near Valparaiso where she works in partnership with Comparte, a non-profit that exports the finished pieces and helps artisans with appropriate product development.
