Eco-friendly Heat Pillows are made by Trillium Artisans member Cheryl Williamson of Tangle.
These environmentally-friendly neck wraps are made from 100% reclaimed fabric from high-end costume, upholstery and drape companies. Normally this high-quality 100% cotton fabric retails for up to $100 per yard, but Cheryl gets it from Trillium Artisans, where we rescue sample cuts from local interior design firms who would otherwise throw it in the landfill.
Each pillow is filled with dried, locally grown lavender and with flaxseed, which has a higher oil content than rice, ensuring longer-lasting heat. It is designed with three sections to keep the flaxseed in place for even heat distribution. Each wrap measures approximately 5" x 20" (12.7 x 50.8 cm) and is made in a smoke-free environment.
DIRECTIONS:
Heat neck wrap in microwave for approximately one minute, turn and heat on other side for one minute longer. For a cold compress, put it in the freezer inside a plastic bag to keep the wrap from absorbing odors. Better yet, purchase two and have the option of alternating hot and cold compresses for great muscle relaxation!
